We can imagine that there are people out there with little awareness of the history of the group, and its dynamics. Just give them an outline. If they want to pursue the details, fine. Just let a few sentences from each make the point. Brevity is essential.
Second, combine this with a few testimonies from the forum members, just as
testallthings has done with the "Gleanings" thread. But, again, the submissions must be edited severely, or the reader will abandon the chase. The key is to make the point. Don't bury it in detail. Invite the reader to pursue detail as they see fit.
