Enjoyed Luke 12:15 from the Unvarnished NT. "Watch and guard against having to have it all..." In the recovery the answer to everything was "turn to your spirit". All the teachings of Jesus could be fulfilled by "just turning to your spirit". If this was a healthy teaching why didn't our Lord teach this? Why didn't Paul or John teach this? I need to hear and meditate on our Lord's words. This along with prayer involves the spirit, which I think is more effectual and healthy than "turning to your spirit". We are going to change our lives shortly which will involve a financial sacrifice, but we believe we are following the Lord and we are trying to guard against having it all.
