I think I've said all I wanted to say about communicating with people. If it helps you, thats fine. If not, that's fine too. I can only repeat myself and I don't see the point in that. However, it is important to speak the truth in love. This may be a better approach than "respect", but what do I know?
It's one thing to say "I was respectful" but the test is whether or not the other person agrees with you, and whether or not communication continues. It's the same with speaking the truth in love. It doesn't really matter what you think about your own speaking...it's about the other person. Speak to them in a way you believe will help them to hear. I've tried to do that and say that in as many ways as I know how, but I've run out of string.
