I think the article presents a balanced view. Both Nee and Lee's emphasis on teachings regarding authority and submission should have been a red flag. Those kind of teachings are inevitably used to control. How else would it be used?

It seems that those in the LC have a view that if there were no human figure exercising authority in the church, everything would crumble into a lawless mess. I'm sure they have many other excuses for exercising authority. When control is brought up as a concern, they say things like "we don't control anyone".
