On the LC burden of shepherding, you need to focus on shepherding the ones already present. If the current members aren't being shepherded, the LC is at risk losing them to another fellowship as what happened with my family.

I've seen a lot of the attitude of wanting everyone to go after "new ones" without caring a single bit about shepherding current members. The result? People leave, they slip through the cracks. I've seen it happen a number of times. They might gain a few new ones here and there, but when you consider all those they lose, it amounts to about zero net increase.
