Choosing your words more carefully would help the communication process. You called me out and I gave it right back to you.

Regardless, you could have said something like..."Sorry, Nell. What I mean is...."

Maybe it "should have been evidence enough" but you imply that there was some kind of willful ignorance on my part. That is not the case.

I totally agree with you now that BP was the man. Not when it was happening. At the time all that was happening, I didn't know there was an undercurrent. I wasn't suspicious. I didn't ask questions...my bad. It was years before my eyes were open to all the things that you mention. Does that mean I willfully ignored evidence? No. It was simply my perspective at the time it occurred. I was wrong, big time.

Nell
I never said "willfully ignored."

And I never said "you."

That is your cast. You are making it personal and it was not.

I spoke into a discussion about how BP was only the Dallas MLB and on his way to being Archbishop of Texas. I used a portion of your post as the springboard into the discussion. I could have edited out the credit and it would not have changed my post.

As I read your original post (and I just read it again), it says that BP was not yet MLRB (most leading regional brother) rather than not yet understood to already be the MLRB." So it did not indicate that you were speaking of at-the-time knowledge, but rather making a current statement about how it was then. So, however I might say it, I think it was reasonable to suggest that you were not taking known facts into account.

As it was, I stated that the thing written in the post was ignoring evidence. And I stand by that statement. And so far you have managed to confirm my statement while complaining about it. You did/do know better. It would appear that the problem is that the post you wrote was not what you intended to write. I have no problem with that. I find that I did not write what I intended on occasion. I usually realize it when the response I get back seems to misread what I thought I wrote. Too often I need to review my post. Or restate my thoughts.

Enough? Can we let this go?
