Is it not curious that our Saviour was not born in December ? Yet Christians both Spirit filled, born again as well as nominal believers celebrate the Lord's birth in December. (Sadly, they mix with Christ's birth w/the pagan celebrations.)

And if you read my thread of "Away in a Manger", I tell you the Truth. The Holy Spirit showed me those words this past June/July. I was in a deep sleep and struggled to remember the words so I forced myself to wake up and google the song.

The tender Song is about the Lord Jesus...and do we not all love Him so much? It took a few weeks of asking the Lord for the meaning of the dream/vision.

We often are reminded "No one knows the day or the hour" (as if we are to stop watching. ) But we do know He IS coming and we are in the "season" !

So I find Luke 12:40 quite curious too:

Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

Do you suppose Our Saviour could come in December ??? Who is expecting Him in December? How COOL would that be for all of us!!! No more bickering, no more divisions, no more sorrows, etc.. OK...maybe not THIS December for all you nay sayers! But He could!

I wanted to share this traditional Advent Hymn with you all; it's been sung by so many saints throughout the ages. It's beauty, and it's message, is timeless. We look forward to your coming again Lord, and as the saints of old, we wait with patience, looking forward to that day knowing that You are a keeper of covenants.
It truly is very beautiful. Thank You so much for sharing it with us. As I sung along the words, I thought of the Jewish people who are looking for the Messiah, the Messiah they unknowingly rejected. But once the Lord Jesus comes for His Bride, God the Father will focus on rescuing Israel and drawing them back to Himself. While she will once again endure horrific hardships and persecution, The KING of kings and LORD of lords Who has a Name-The WORD of God- also called Faithful and True and Righteous will come with His Army. (And it is not the army of the LSM exclusively to be sure . And the beast & the false prophet will be cast into the Lake of Fire & Brimstone once and for all.

Halleluiah to the Lamb of God!!

Come Lord Jesus...May it be this year. But AMEN to whatever day and hour You choose to return for us.

"O come, O come, Emmanuel (<-- Link here) is the mid-19th century translation byJohn Mason Neale and Henry Sloane Coffin of the Ecclesiastical Latin text "Veni, veni, Emmanuel". It is a metrical version of the O Antiphons from the final week of Advent vespers, which now serves as a popular hymn. Its origins are unclear: it is thought that the antiphons are from at least the 8th Century, but "Veni, veni Emmanuel" may well be 12th century in origin. The text is based on the biblical prophecy from Isaiah 7:14 that states that God will give Israel a sign that will be called Immanuel (Lit.: God with us). Matthew 1:23 states fulfillment of this prophecy in the birth of Jesus of Nazareth".
