  1. In your browser, pull up the thread/post/page you want to link to.
  2. Highlight the whole URL (the address) of the post that is in the field at top of your browser.
  3. Right click the highlighted field and click "Copy."
  4. Go to the new post you want place the link in.
  5. Either: (Simple) Directly paste the link where you want it.
  6. Or: (Advanced) Type something you want to be link text, such as "Click here." Highlight the text. Click the link icon on the editor toolbar (it's the icon that looks like the Earth with a chain link), this will pop up a window into which you should past the link address you copied in step 3. Click OK. You're done.
  7. (Optional) One last thing I usually do is make the link text bright blue and underlined, that way it looks like a link.
  8. Click "Preview Post" and test the link. If it works, click "Submit Reply." If not, fix it.
