Witness Lee often read the LC system into the Scripture. The "Recovery" is just another example of this unfortunate method. He taught that Babylon was Christianity and the LC system was Jerusalem (of course) i.e. if you don't meet with the LC you are in fallen Babylon. To take an OT type and claim that it refers only to your little church thousands of years later is really quite a stretch of the imagination! Yet he built an entire church system around this idea and people bought it lock, stock and barrel.

In the NT the church is the house of God - not a special elitist self-appointed elect of the elect within the church to the exclusion of others. Of course if you are trying to start and operate a church system it can be a useful fiction to teach otherwise. After all who doesn't want to be a part of "God's best"?
