A good example of this is the Lord's Table, or if you prefer Supper, or Communion, or the Breaking of Bread Meeting, etc.
Since I have left the LC, I have visited many churches that celebrated this remembrance of the Lord Jesus. Using only my 5 senses, each of these celebrations was
different. Some were very different -- different songs, different presentation, different practice, and even tasted different. They were different
in the natural.
But in the realm of faith and in the realm of the Spirit, they were all identical. They were all remembering the Lord and His death on the cross. They remembered His last supper, His shed blood, His love for us, and His sacrifice for sin.
As the scripture has said, "
man looks at the outward, but God looks at the heart."
