Harold if you consider the Bible full of "unprovable premises" then it's going to be a very rough road for you on most Christian based forums. Once again (I sound like a broken record I know) you must know that there are many forums out there where people who believe as you do are on equal footing as those of us who have faith that the the Bible - ALL of the Bible - is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. This is one of the main "premises" here on LCD and this is not going to change. I believe this, Igzy believes this and the vast majority of the forum members believe this as well. Once again, you're welcome to stay and dialog but you have to color within the lines or you're constantly going to find yourself in "timeout"
While you consider what I'm saying, maybe you could consider a couple of verses, for they both have great bearing on the issues you have here on the forum. Knowledge is NOT faith, and faith is NOT knowledge - otherwise it would be called "The Christian Knowledge" and not "The Christian Faith"!
Also we don't have to wait for heaven or the afterlife to be blessed by God - we only HAVE TO BELIEVE. Believing brings blessing in this life - right here, right now. This is a promise directly from the mouth of the Son of God so you can take it to the bank my friend. And believing is not the suspension of logic or of reason (no you do NOT need to "get out of your mind" to believe).
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen Hebrews 11:1
Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20:29
