Sorry Steve, but the way I read what Lee wrote here "
a gifted brother must keep his hands off the local church" means a 'gifted' brother shouldn't contradict the teaching of Witness Lee... and if he does, then it's because he's not "for" the local church. This statement in 1964 is actually
entirely consistent with the later one publication policy, one ministry, one trumpet etc etc. The problem here is the differentiation between "the ministry" and "the church" - where does that come from Biblically? This quote doesn't support your case that Lee was a Holy Roller who went off the rails in the mid-to-late 1970's, it shows he was self-seeking and self-exalting from the beginning.
