I remember when the brothers came from Anaheim to train us in the latest "new way". They had a bunch of us come up front in the meeting and dance before the rest, to a nursery-rhyme tune someone had composed for the latest "four legs good, two legs bad" slogan. Complete with arm waving at the climactic point. It was soooo embarrassing for me as an adult to be compelled to act like an infant in public.

I had a lot of good moments there in the LSM franchises, and hopefully some spiritual growth. It was surely better than the world which I had left, but anytime I get all misty-eyed about my time there I just remember things like that, and I keep going. I can't possibly put too much distance between myself and that bunch.
