Where in the world did I deny that Watchman Nee sowed some good seed for the harvest??? The theme of this thread is something totally different. It has to do with the Ground of Locality and the church model that has sprung from it. My point was that even the revered Watchman Nee could not make this church model work. His gospel labors are known the world-wide to this day, and for this he will have great reward from his Master. Nothing, absolutely nothing we say on some little Internet forum will change this fact.

And while I'm on the subject... there is (or should be) a big difference between gospel preaching and getting people to "join your church". By the time Witness Lee was in charge, this distinction was totally blurred in the Local Church. Gospel meetings became nothing but a way to get people to "come into the Church". I remember more than once a person getting saved at a LC "gospel meeting", but going on to attend somewhere else besides the Local Church of Witness Lee - this person would be considered "lost to poor, poor Christianity"...it was almost as if they only got partially saved. I sure hope this horrific attitude has changed in the LC....I doubt it though.
