There was always a descriptive word justifying why different ones left. Unfulfilled ambition, unforgiven offenses. etc. The answer is a run-around of the question. To get at the heart of the matter will open up old wounds.
Jane, you and Ohio have brought up a very good point. What is the treasure of the Lord's recovery? Oddly enough, it's not the believers. It's the publications of Witness Lee's ministry. That's the treasure. Brothers and sisters are but mere pawns. Contrary to scripture, brothers and sisters are replaceable. As you indicated in your post saints were referred to as weeds.
