Starting with WL, LC leaders have used aberrant views of authority to create a system an man-pleasers. Nothing misdirects our zeal more than our attempts to please anyone other than Jesus only. All the promotions to be "one with the ministry," were nothing but a ruse to create more man-pleasers.
This thread started with the query, "Can the LC leadership say, '
We were wrong?'" I would have to answer, "no." The reason is simple, they have not known the Father nor the Son. (John 16.1-3) Sure they may be steeped in the theology of WL, zealously promoting the program of his design, but misdirected zeal has always caused the suffering of God's people. It even caused the death of His Son.
