Re: Prayer Request
Fraternal greetings, brother.
I'm writing this to encourage you to move forward:
Overcoming within the recovery ministry will be difficult. Overcoming outside of the recovery ministry would also be difficult. So choose your difficulty.
If you decide to leave the recovery ministry, rest assured that you will experience a time of ministerial loneliness and abandonment by your loved ones, and that is difficult. If you decide to stay in the recovery ministry, you will continue to have the same problems and will not be able to have new experiences to advance and mature until you are clear about the call to the ministry and the role the Lord has given you, and that is also difficult. So choose your difficulty.
Brother Holmes, it's your choice. I'll be honest, I'm very grateful that the Lord has led me to advance through the stages of ministry, starting with the Catholic ministry, then the Protestant ministry, then the recovery ministry, and now, after the recovery ministry, I can assure you that the Christian life continues. The most important thing is that we remain in the first love. If we truly love Jesus, then we will obey what He wants us to do, whether we stay in that ministry or move on and leave it behind for other kinds of experiences.
May the Lord grant you wisdom, knowledge, and discernment to please Him alone. Blessings.
