Re: Church in Toronto's Salvation Theology
bearbear and others,
I've been listening and reading the messages and ministry of the three "Teaching Pastors" (Nigel Tomes, Del Martin and Ian Brinksman) of Church In Toronto for many years now, and I don't believe there are any official theological positions taken, other than what is stated on their C.I.T. WEBSITE - - Of course I'm sure any of these brothers would be more than happy to clarify this for you - they have "questions" section within the website: https://churchintoronto.com/contact-us/
For starters, I would point you to this portion of their Statement of Beliefs:
Salvation
We believe that salvation depends solely on the finished work of Jesus Christ, who accomplished redemption once and for all on the cross at Calvary as the vicarious sacrifice for the sins of all mankind. All those who put their faith in Jesus Christ and His work, believing that God has raised Him from the dead, and confess Him as their Lord, shall be saved forever and have eternal life. This salvation is the gift of God’s grace and is not gained by human works.
