It is exactly the same thing. In my last go around in Renton, I saw it with one of their current elders. More devotion and time exercised to reading Recovery version footnotes than in reading the Word.
WOW!! This is SO SO TRUE!!!!
2 of my closest friends are former Mormons who were in the LDS for 30 years. (They are now true believers in Christ but young in the Lord and not rooted deeply in the scriptures. Still we are very close friends and we attend Bible study together)

Long before I met them, I had several short discussions with Mormons. They use their version of the KJ Bible with LDS FOOTNOTES!!

But the more they use the Doctrine of Covenants, The Pearl of Great Price and the Mormon book, the less they use THEIR KJ LDS version.

And sadly, the Lord’s Recovery has similarities to The LR/LC.

Why did my friends who were very loyal and ingrained into the LDS finally leave?

They got soooo tired of ELEVATING JOSEPH SMITH week after week! They also joined a forum of former LDS members many who were high up in the hierarchy.

My friends also were very much aware that IF they dared criticize or spoke or doubted the”prophet’s” leadership, they could be excommunicated
