All genuine, born again believers still have the flesh and are capable of any sin, including habitual sin. Believers still have free will and the flesh, and can either walk by the Spirit or by the flesh. This warning in Galatians 5 is addressed to
believers, and explains it clearly: believers can walk either by the Spirit or by the flesh:
"So I say, walk by the Spirit, and
you will not gratify the desires of THE FLESH. For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other, so that
you do not do what
you want. But if
you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. The acts of
THE FLESH are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; idolatry and sorcery; hatred, discord, jealousy, and rage; rivalries, divisions, factions, and envy; drunkenness, orgies."
Open your eyes, donīt you know that thousands of born again believers habitually watch porn? Genuine brothers have repeatedly sexually abused sisters or even their own daughters? Real christians have improperly divorced and remarried, living in adultery. Young regenerated college age believers habitually party, get drunk, smoke pot and commit fornication. Tens of thousands of born againers practice habitual masturbation, lusting in their hearts after their own pornographic imaginations and fantasies. Some sisters have had abortions...and some brothers practice homosexuality. (and please, no backdoor interpretaion nonsense like, "oh, if one of them gratifies the flesh, he was never really saved" or "such a one is just a professing believer").
