I just came across this verse today and the match is pretty astonishing:
Galatians 4:19-20
"My dear children, for whom I am again in the
pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you, how I wish I could be with you now and change my tone, because I am perplexed about you!"
If Christ was fully formed in the Galatians believers via "childbirth" perhaps they would have not gone astray with the circumcision party who Paul called "false brethren" (Gal 2:4-5). Read in context of the epistle, Paul was indeed worried that he had labored in the vain after the Galatians were running so well-- implying that they had held onto the true gospel at some point but their corruption of the gospel with circumcision would imply a "miscarriage".
Galatians 5:7
"You were running well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth?"
Galatians 4:11
"I am afraid I may have labored over you in vain."
Galatians 5:4
You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace.
Here is a real life example: There is a family in my parent's old small group that became Jehovah Witnesses. If my parent's millennial exclusion theology is correct, that family is saved in the end so there's nothing to worry about. However, from my perspective, I think their fate could be far worse. JW's version of Jesus as the created archangel Michael who did not resurrect but was re-created as a spirit is a Jesus that cannot save anyone. This really worries me.
