I'd like to add to what Ohio said.
Just a quick observation about R&K's "Introduction". All of the "advice" they offer to the readers about John's account of events, should be applied to their own response. The goal or objective of any such response should be, not to tell people what to think, but to encourage people to petition the Spirit for wisdom to see a matter as He sees it.
R&K didn't dispute anything of substance of John's account of what happened in the LSM office. They just objected to the fact that John spoke at all and didn't follow the party line. They are trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube.
All this happened in 1989. Other than historical value, does it apply today? Has anything changed? Or, is the message still "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!"
