When I realized my wife and I needed to leave the Lord’s Recovery movement her brother (who she was visiting out of state) told her to stay in the Lord’s Recovery and not agree with me. He then said that her doing so “would be my salvation”! Silly me, I thought that Christ and his work on the cross was my salvation. This was a very painful several weeks, I feared I might lose my wife.
Beware, the elders of the Lord’s Recovery movement do not hesitate to separate a husband and wife, if one of them decides to leave, especially if they tithe and faithfully serve the ministry.
