Something came to me today while in my morning time with the Lord that I think pertains to this discussion regarding the poison of sin being passed along. It has to do with The Incarnation. The Father, through the Holy Spirit, inseminated Mary to conceive Jesus. But Mary certainly had sin in the flesh, so why wasn't that sin transferred to Jesus? It seems to me that sin must then be passed through the father. This makes sense, since the father was made as head, to rule over the earth, be head of the family, etc. (e.g., I've heard it speculated that the fall wouldn't have occurred if Adam had said "no" to Eve.)
Does this then have bearing on the sin as poison topic?
