Actually your rebuttal didn't become the featured post. Maybe you could restate?
  • Discarding all things forces us to also discard the good.
Not necessarily. Besides it is a fact that "anything good" in the Local Church of Witness Lee can be found elsewhere without having to swallow the garbage wholesale, which is what one MUST do in the LC.

  • The Bible continually cites the need for discernment and wisdom, even the wisdom found in a multitude of counselors. (Proverbs 11.14; 15.22)
How does this relate to Unregistered's post?

  • Evaluating what is good and what is worthless helps us grow in Christ. (Heb 5.14)
How does evaluating "what is worthless" help us grow in Christ?

  • A wise Christian counselor suggested the practice of "treasure hunting" to his clients. Since God has allowed all the arrangements in our life, (Romans 8.28) even in bad situations, we should hunt for the "treasures" that God has provided for our good.
Many of us spent the better part of our adult lives hunting for the treasures that Witness Lee told us were there. He lied. There are no treasures in the ministry of Nee or Lee. Nuff said bout that for now.

  • Even though the Jewish leaders had Jesus killed, He never condemned the religion they received from Moses. Instead He told the disciples to "beware of the leaven of the Pharisees." (Luke 12.1-2) Jesus continually taught them to discern what was from God, and what was the hypocrisy of men.
Not sure what you mean by "the religion they received from Moses", but the religion we received from Witness Lee was not from God, and is chock full of the hypocrisy of men.

  • Many sincere believers have discarded "faith and a good conscience" (I Timothy 1.19) when they left the LC. I think this is the greatest tragedy of all.
The greatest tragedy might be that if they had been taught and displayed the genuine, biblical Gospel they probably would not have discarded the faith. In the Local Church we were taught "another gospel" and "another Jesus". For some, especially those who were weak in the faith to begin with, or who were raised in the LC, were greatly disadvantaged and vulnerable to being "shipwrecked as to the faith"

  • Perhaps what you have learned from your time in the LC, you could now help others in the same situation.
Asked and answered!
