Default Re: Suicide

What delivered me from the Recovery “hook” was seeing the corruption surrounding Philip Lee and WL’s coverup. What helped me “detox” from all the “leaven” of Née, Lee, and the Blendeds was all the discussions from ex-members on this site.

Shortly after I left, one of my closest friends in the LC tragically took his own life. Beautiful family. How could this happen, if we were God’s best, His faithful, His testimony, His bride????

At the funeral I talked to an LC leader from Cleveland. How could this happen? The local church life in every place was being rocked by division and infighting due to “the quarantine.” His repeated response, “no church bears no responsibility.”

Sure, we can’t blame the church for one man’s failure, but… If we give some ministry all the glory for the good, do not they bear any responsibility for the bad? But there was zero accountability to be found anywhere. Only excuses for the tragedies.
