Re: What is the boundary of the Local Church?

Read the book yourself, and do try to portray my views accurately.

Re: Whistleblower

Nell, thanks for this post. I looked at the Wiki article, which interested me:

Re: No evidence of collusion

1. We have seen evidence that the Russians meddled in the campaign.
Everyone knows they meddle in our elections. Done so for since the 1920's. And we meddled in elections all over the world too. ...

Re: The Trinity: Consistent with the Bible?

Whether the translators add "He" or not is incidental to the truth. There is no "He" in the Greek text to justify that bad translation. How about you find for me one single Greek manuscript which...

Re: Billy Graham - Tribute to Faithful Gift in the Body

Didn't the Apostle Paul warn us of people like him? (Acts 20.30)

Re: Local Church going strong in Taiwan/Asia?

Actually, over the years I visited Anaheim, I was surprised to see the ever increasing amount of extravaganza pomp and circumstance. Lee's burial memorial was way over the top.

Re: The Trinity: Consistent with the Bible?

You know the scripture, and I have posted them before, but to make this one thing more perfectly clear ...

Yes, I am saying, based on scripture, that Jesus went around telling people He is the "I...

Re: What is the boundary of the Local Church?

Read The Resumption of Watchman Nee's Ministry (Vol 57,) he speaks much about this.

Re: What is the boundary of the Local Church?

Wow! No lawsuits? No training sessions to undermine the elderships and usurp the meeting hall?

Real men of God with big hearts, faithful to a heavenly vision!

Re: Billy Graham - Tribute to Faithful Gift in the Body

This is also what I heard, but it was also taken to another level, i.e. that "Billy Graham gives birth to children, but does not raise them up, and shame on anyone who would do such a thing as that."...

Re: What is the boundary of the Local Church?

What Drake never wants to acknowledge is what qualifies a co-worker. How does he justify the actions taken by operatives from LSM who worked with belligerent saints to undermine elders and divide...

Re: What is the boundary of the Local Church?

Are we then members of a local assembly as in Corinth, or we members of the "body" connected to the LSM publishers?

When Paul spoke of the metaphor of the body of Christ, he never said the foot...

Re: What is the boundary of the Local Church?

Paul had a unique place among the Gentile churches, firstly because he was called by the Lord directly, and second because he brought the gospel to these new converts.

So, based on your great...

Re: What is the boundary of the Local Church?

Talk about contorted reasoning!

Drake your selective and biased reading of my posts is both boring and almost idiotic.

You dodge all the points of scripture, only to use some obscurity to...

Re: The Trinity: Consistent with the Bible?

Yours are all bogus questions to dodge the serious problems with your false teachings.

John 6:38 "For I have come down from heaven..."

John 6:62 "What then if you should see the Son of...

Re: What is the boundary of the Local Church?

In I Corinthians 12:12-27, Paul likened the church to a human body, that is correct. But he also concluded by saying, "Now you are the body of Christ, and members in particular."

Paul spoke to...

Re: What is the boundary of the Local Church?

No, Drake, I am using my experience and study to define the system known as the Recovery.

Evangelical does not have the experience necessary to speak on behalf of the Recovery. His experience is...

Re: What is the boundary of the Local Church?

Why then is LSM autonomous from the rest of the body of Christ? Are not they "in Christ?"

Why then are LC elders supposed to be autonomous from the rest of the churches in their area? Are they...

Re: What is the boundary of the Local Church?

What you are really saying is if the elders stop buying LSM's materials, they will be removed and replaced by more "favorable" elders, whether or not they are even qualified to oversee the church.

Re: The Trinity: Consistent with the Bible?

In Acts 15 there was a council which issued a creed about circumcision.

The subsequent creeds may have some value, but are not binding. The most famous, the Apostles' Creed, was not even written...

Re: What is the boundary of the Local Church?

Why do you guys always deal in extremes when it comes to LC governance?

Why does the self-governing of elders in their congregations have to become "absolutely autonomous?"

The real issue in...

Re: The Trinity: Consistent with the Bible?

I am convinced that "Paul likens Jesus to Yahweh of the OT" because firstly Jesus claimed to be the "Great I AM, Jehovah, Yahweh," and because of the evidence of scripture, some of which you have...

Re: The local church, the Work and the New Testament Ministry

And every long term ex-member is convinced not just "Christianity" but also "religion" is so evil, remember "Christ vs. Religion?"

Actually the Lord Jesus never was against religion. Not the...
