Re: Time Frame in the LSM/LC

First contact with John Ingles and Bill Freeman at small conference in Everett Washington in the spring of 1970. Was quite active in the local churches from the summer of 1970 up till 2007. I served...

Re: LSM's Attack on Adoption - Nigel Tomes

Thank you for posting this excellent writing. Today was the first opportunity I've had to read it. I wish that all those who hold Witness Lee's teachings as the "ministy of the age" could have their...

Re: The Church in Moses Lake

I think it is very unfair to make a judgement on any situation in a manner like this. Igzy said.."I tried to listen to one of the messages".....and then passes judgement on the ones meeting in Moses...

Re: God became man that man might become God

Excellent reply OBW.

The "we are becoming God" teaching was an evolving thing over time that is now totally cemented in. The entire LC, in my view, has been an evolving thing over my lifetime....

Re: God became man that man might become God

Hi OBW......1987....I remember that period well.....about the time when some of the so called pillars of the church were departing....John Ingalls, Bill Malon etc. That was a very troublesome time...

God became man that man might become God

This particular teaching has been quite a bother to me.....even when I was attending the meetings of the LC. I hope I am not repeating earlier postings although the chance of that being so is...

Re: This is the Witness Lee that I remember

I appreciate the matter of the separate consciousness’s and will’s. Those are good points that have been made. The problem I have with this is that eventually what you really have is three Gods…..yet...

Re: This is the Witness Lee that I remember

I'm not trying to be rigid.....it's just a simple question. The three "distinct" persons of the Godhead".....they are all seperate individuals....The Father is Not the Son....The Son is Not the...

Re: This is the Witness Lee that I remember

So is God like a city council or something....Three distinct persons that somehow make up only one God?

A group of three that we call.....One God ? Is that orthodox christian belief and what the...

Re: Bible Recomendation's

I like the New King James version and mostly use it. I don't like any paraphrased versions of the bible. They are simply someones thought as to what the writer may have been saying and to me are a...

Re: My Story

Thanks for your honest testimony “ I Don’t Know”. What you have described here shows what has sadly happened to a church life that has fallen under man’s tight control and organization. No freedom...

Re: Letter from the The Church in Madrid Spain (regarding Dong's ministry)

Yes I was...in fact I was a drummer. I still remember that cadence. I wore gospel robes and the whole 9 yards.

I'll tell you an interresting story.....when I was a senior in High School.....one...

Re: Letter from the The Church in Madrid Spain (regarding Dong's ministry)

There are no LSM churches in the locality I live in. There are 3 within 100 mile radius of me.

I have met in and on and off basis with a mission group that has an intensive ministry to the...

Re: Letter from the The Church in Madrid Spain (regarding Dong's ministry)

My story is very simple Igzy. I came into the church life when I was 17 and have spent the majority of my life in the local churches. When I was young and in the earlier years the situation was quite...

Re: Letter from the The Church in Madrid Spain (regarding Dong's ministry)

How sad that such a thought exists among certain ones. To be fair...I don't think everyone in the LC believes this..... but many do. I know many believers outside of the LC and have had wonderful...

Re: ground of locality and generality

Your statistical data Igzy really doesn’t carry any weight with me. There are 100’s of millions of Catholics today that believe we should pray to Mary….does that make it true. Down the road from me...

Re: ground of locality and generality

I heartily agree with you Don. My experience doesn’t go back as far as you but it does go back to the spring of 1970 and things were very different back then. I remember the first young peoples...

Re: ground of locality and generality

It didn’t have to be taught. What was taught was that there was only one body and the division of that one body was judged and condemned. So if there were believers in a certain place…..they were...

Re: The LCS Factor

Hi Overflow.

Please don't equate your experience with those who have a history in the local church. They may not be the same at all. I don't believe HOPE needed any detoxing. There are a lot...

Re: LSM's Plagiarism - An Initial Inquiry

This is an interesting comment and brings to mind a recent experience. I have a few tape cassettes of Ron Kangas giving a conference 5 or 6 years ago. I thought…..”you know….I should be fair with...

Re: Does "Baptist" Mean to a Baptist What "Recovery" Means to an LCer?

Igzy and OBW,

I deeply and honestly appreciate your last posts. Please forgive me if I was too much in my post. The last posts by both of you have helped me to open up to understand both of you...

Re: Does "Baptist" Mean to a Baptist What "Recovery" Means to an LCer?

If you'll go back and read what I said OBW....I never said one word about who should be here and who shouldn't be here. The point I am making is that the general nature of this forum is constant...
