Re: The Universal Government of God - Ron Kangas

The LC system doesn't make the distinction between God and man. Those in the lead see the Godhead linked to their own leading. To be in opposition to them is considered as being in opposition to God....

Nell, that's as I see it too. "The Lord may be giving us a little more time..."

Re: Questions or Questionings

Questions versus Questionings....another manner to say having it both ways.
For those ever summoned to the fellowship room, how can that not be in itself labeled as questionings?
"The brothers"...

Re: Phoenix - Ron is really trying to excuse himself condemning Jo, me, oth

This is factually incorrect. The brother doing the recording did not sent it. He recorded the messages on another brothers server. Perhaps after the fact decided it is best to remove these messages...

Re: The Universal Government of God - Ron Kangas

As much as RK had been speaking about grace in the message, it is apparent speaking about grace and living out grace are not the same.

Re: Problems with the Local Church - Merged Thread

Apart from quarantine letters, I have never seen a local church practiced discipline. I see the local churches as passive aggressive. They need to project themselves as "nice guys", but perhaps...

Re: The Universal Government of God - Ron Kangas

It is not just RK, but an example of the LC system. Anything unfavorable that occurs is "an attack of the enemy".
Suppose a locality is building an addition to their meeting hall and it doesn't get...

Re: I left the Local Church After Reading the Real Church History

I have been told that too. Also in there is the practice of "everyone speaking". My response is if you become part of a home meeting group, there is plenty opportunity for everyone to speak.

Re: The Universal Government of God - Ron Kangas

Listening to Ron speaking, you could say "RK continues to try to establish his concept of" grace. Abstract, impersonal, and lacking any subjectivity.
In a real subjective experience of grace, there...

Re: I left the Local Church After Reading the Real Church History

As have I. Thought in my mind to members, "do you actually believe this?" These thoughts even applied to deacons and elders. Yet any possibility to have an objection discussion eventually ends in the...

Re: I left the Local Church After Reading the Real Church History

That's my experience.
"I don't want to talk about it." or "God sees no iniquity in Israel" are some of the responses you might hear.
To talk about LSM's mistakes is likened to "uncovering or...

Re: Politics and the Church - Impeachable?

Is there fear of transparency? Bidens are just small fish in a pond. Could it be there is much more than just the Bidens? Could this expalin the vehement protesting against looking into anything...

Re: Overview of LSM's Divisive Path

I had been thinking about the current political climate in relationship to local church history. In some manner the phrase ancient history has an updated terminology whether a discussion is sought on...

Re: what is in an L

Question is who is objecting to transparency?

what is in an L

what is in an L? Liberal narrative I often cannot distinguish from LSM narrative. They're so much alike. Both very dismissive to contrarian thoughts. Liberal narrative rejects the contrarian views...

Re: Politics and the Church

All this talk about Eric Ciaramella being whistleblower. Consider this if he wasn't don't you think he would have filed a defamation lawsuit by now?

Re: Overview of LSM's Divisive Path

Kind of like Ukraine's political climate 2014-2016. Although in local church circles brothers act as if the final word had been given long time ago and to bring it up is either "ancient history" or...

Not sure what you're referring to. I began meeting with Bellevue 1993/1994 and after my wife arrived in the US we met with Bellevue 1997-2000 and Renton 2009-2010. My wife enjoyed being with the...

Re: Shepherding Words "From The Co-Workers In The Lord's Recovery"

Which is more believable Lee's biography or Hsu's biography? It's a simple question. I would say Hsu's biography makes Nee appear more 3 dimensional. More human.

Re: I cant deal with any of the LSM and LC stuff anymore.....

I would suggest just read the Bible and not give time to LC/LSM interpretations. I can only say the difference I've seen between LSM-affiliated churches and non-LSM is you're more likely to find...

Hiding History

One thing about the current state of American politics is it reminds me so much of the Local Churches I left behind.
Talk about rules and how the current House changed the rules back on August 12....

Re: Overview of LSM's Divisive Path

Seems it should be that way, but coming from LSM it isn't so.

When Ron spoke in Ambato in 2006(?) , why did he have to allude to Bill Mallon? That had been nearly 20 years in the past.
In the...
