Re: Tips on Making Leaving the LC Easier

Yep I'm great thanks. I still love the Lord, but not very focused - my time is more prioritised with my startup business, learning to dance (bachata & kizomba) and meeting women. Never left the faith...

Re: Tips on Making Leaving the LC Easier

This much of the dream is pretty obvious! Yep thats my experience too. I saw dozens and dozens of cracked and wavering 'pillars', only 2-3 that were actually solid. The Hirams in the recovery were...

Re: 'Ground of the Church'

Right. That quote they keep saying, how Lee told Nee 'even if you do something different, I will continue to take this path' - it helps everyone say 'oh we are not following Lee, we are following his...

Re: 'Ground of the Church'

LOL me too . I find it amusing how it was the LSM that taught me the difference between God's move and a movement of man in the first place, and yet, here we are.

The devil will often condemn...

Re: 'Ground of the Church'

There are three separate local churches in Shanghai too, where I lived for three years - all of them 'faithful to the ministry', all of them inviting coworkers from overseas to hold conferences, all...

Re: 'Ground of the Church'

Hehe I *love* this. You're quite right. The 'ground' is the one thing that makes them 'God's move' and makes everyone else irrelevant to it. When you take away the ground, what do you have?

'Ground of the Church'

One thing I was very passionate about when I was in the LC was the ground of the church. We were taught that it was the source of all blessing and had to be perfect. We were taught that the ground of...

Re: Two Year Training Testimonies

No the reason they gave was that I didn't have enough work experience to be able to get a good career at the drop of the hat in case the elders decided to stop supporting me financially. Basically,...

Re: Two Year Training Testimonies

My goal was to become a full-timer. I went to the training for the sole purpose of being a full-timer, it was my dream. I was going to migrate to France for the Lord's move in Europe and serve there....

Re: Two Year Training Testimonies

I did two years in FTTH, in Hamilton, New Zealand. Many parts of it I enjoyed thoroughly, but many parts of it scarred me deeply, hurting me deep within my core.

At the time, being the hardcore...

Re: Eternity - what will it be like?

Speak for yourself. How could you possibly know that you are less religious and less wrong than we are? By saying that you insult the saints and nullify their fellowship. Don't do that.

Also, go...

Re: Eternity - what will it be like?

Well the universe we live in is exposed to sin and entropy - food goes off, you can get hurt, volcanoes erupt etc. My understanding about eternity future is that God will change the laws of physics...

Re: Recovering from the Recovery - Requesting your Insight

I regret never talking to women, or having a girlfriend before getting married. Now I'm trying to learn how to flirt in my 30s and I suck at it.

I had some very real experiences of Christ, that...

Re: Hi Everyone :)

Its 'poison' don't cha know. If you take it in, the devil will use it to corrupt your mind against the church. You mind find something that makes sense, you might see things how they really are, you...

Re: true companionship/love outside the local church

And praise the Lord for that. If they were all as sweet and lovely as they think they are I would never have realised I was in a cult.

Having 98% of all the saints I know treat me badly, look down...

Met Up With Old Friends, 'Rebellious Ones'

About 5 or so years ago some brothers previously in my 'vital group' in my hometown 'rebelled' and 'caused a turmoil'. I wasn't in the country at the time, so I missed out on the action, I just heard...

Re: I was in the church for ten years.....

Yeah this got me too. The girls eventually did call me back, and I asked them what their name was, they said they have no name. I asked them if they follow anyone, they said they just follow Jesus. I...
