Re: How the LCM Affects Personality

LOL as if you'll ever be ready when you're never allowed to talk to sisters

Re: How I got here, and what is this place?

My personal opinion (as I can only speak for myself) is that it is a cult, and it will damage you if you join. Its still very active, I think a lot of people in the group are really passionate about...

Re: Elliot Miller in hospice and is near death

We had lunch with HH once in Shanghai when the brothers were wining and dining him. He seemed like a very unsavory, unapproachable fellow. Bad vibes.

Re: Deceptions on Campus

Yeah I remember in my home locality it was usually a 'mature student' (i.e. a uni student in his 40s) who would fill that role in the club. A leading brother usually, or at the very least, one of the...

Re: Relationships/Courting

Oh! haha ok yes. Thanks for clearing that up. Yeah if you meet a girl who was hand-crafted by God Himself then she must be quite a keeper. Plus there's literally no other women on earth nor ever will...

Re: Relationships/Courting

The problem is, there's no way of knowing if someone is your rib or not. I was certain my ex was my rib, I called her 'my God-ordained wife'. I literally married my ex because I was convinced that...

Re: Relationships/Courting

This is the single most damaging thing I got from being in there, it'll take me years to overcome. But hey good news I had a date last night, I think she's really into me and wow is she *stunning*!...

Amen Terry, he's as good as a gentile taxman to us.

Re: You can't serve God if you aren't graduated from full-time training.

Okay you can 'serve' without going to the training - but you won't be supported financially by the church. Thats full-time employment basically, a big investment on their part, so they should be able...

Re: I Left the Church 3 Years ago after Fighting with Depression

Can't let women see a gif of people latin dancing, huh? QUICK, SHIELD THEIR EYES. They might like it and go to dance class and (gasp) dance with a man!!!... If I was a sister I'd be insulted.

But...

Re: I Left the Church 3 Years ago after Fighting with Depression

Well if that were true I would have two conflicting options, then. Be faithful to the Lord and continue to live a sexless life as I have my whole life, or completely forget about God and just go...

Re: I Left the Church 3 Years ago after Fighting with Depression

They're not. I can be both a sexual man and a spiritual man. I absolutely agree 100%, but I feel like mainstream Christianity does not agree. Mainstream Christianity would rather I be abstinent and...

Re: I Left the Church 3 Years ago after Fighting with Depression

I thought it was a pretty harmless gif but the LCD editors edited it out anyway. Weird.

Thanks. I think I'm a catch actually :D

I never thought of that. I like that, thanks. I forget that...

Re: I Left the Church 3 Years ago after Fighting with Depression

This is the main thing I'm still suffering from, but I'm pushing myself to get past it. All those years of not being allowed to have conversations with women take their toll! I take partner dancing...

Re: Zealous and Misled

Haha one time in Shanghai the brothers invited me to this fancy hotel for a lunch with HH. He struck me as unpleasant, aloof and totally unapproachable. Anyway there were about 20 brothers there and...

Re: How to resist the pressure?

I know you don't want to talk about it, but just rip the sticky plaster off and get it over with. Its not fun but it'll do the trick.

When I left last year I posted a big rant on Facebook saying...

Re: Tips on Making Leaving the LC Easier

Yep I'm great thanks. I still love the Lord, but not very focused - my time is more prioritised with my startup business, learning to dance (bachata & kizomba) and meeting women. Never left the faith...

Re: Tips on Making Leaving the LC Easier

This much of the dream is pretty obvious! Yep thats my experience too. I saw dozens and dozens of cracked and wavering 'pillars', only 2-3 that were actually solid. The Hirams in the recovery were...

Re: 'Ground of the Church'

Right. That quote they keep saying, how Lee told Nee 'even if you do something different, I will continue to take this path' - it helps everyone say 'oh we are not following Lee, we are following his...

Re: 'Ground of the Church'

LOL me too . I find it amusing how it was the LSM that taught me the difference between God's move and a movement of man in the first place, and yet, here we are.

The devil will often condemn...

Re: 'Ground of the Church'

There are three separate local churches in Shanghai too, where I lived for three years - all of them 'faithful to the ministry', all of them inviting coworkers from overseas to hold conferences, all...

Re: 'Ground of the Church'

Hehe I *love* this. You're quite right. The 'ground' is the one thing that makes them 'God's move' and makes everyone else irrelevant to it. When you take away the ground, what do you have?
