Re: A Pratica De Witness Lee

Brother Mike,

It is good to see you "return", if only for one post.

Dear manoel_463,

Welcome to LocalChurchDiscussions.Com. I do like brother Mike's "water vs. sand" analogy. If you have found some "water" in the LC and in WL's ministry, then praise the Lord for that. If you have enjoyed some fellowship in spirit with some dear brothers and sisters in Christ in the LC, then praise the Lord for that also.

My personal experience (limited mostly to one particular region of the United States) has been that there is too much mixture of "sand" and "water" in both WL's ministry and in the LC. WL spoke some blessed words, but out from his mouth also came forth way too much cursing. Sadly, this continues with the BB's to this day. Also very sad is the fact that the "high peak" teachings have become a great source of pride and arrogance. There is far too little of a spirit of love and far too little of a spirit of repentance in the LC, and way too much of a spirit of religious jealousy. I testify with shame that I speak from direct experience - all this degredation happened to me during my own years in the LC and this describes, first and foremost, my own wicked heart.

I can not in good conscience recommend WL as "a model for individual Christians". If our dear Lord leads you to remain in the LC, then gather what "water" you can from his ministry and enjoy what fellowship you can in the LC. For the sake of your own growth in the Lord and the growth of those around you; however, please do not take WL as a model. At the very least, acknowledge that in many areas, much better models exist.

May God be merciful to you, dear one, and may He be merciful to us all.

In this case should we be “judging the vase”, given the importance of the subject here? This is a serious question about a man who was not the only a model for individual Christians, but also a ministry that was for the Body of Christ.

(Here are a number of topics that show the high peak of the divine revelation disclosed by Mr. Witness Lee)

· God’s intention to dispense Himself into man
· The all-inclusive, compound Spirit of Life
· The processed triune God
· God becoming man so that man could become God, but not in life and nature
· The New Jerusalem as the final consummation and ultimate mingling of divinity with humanity
Actually, both the vase and the flowers inside are worthy of judgment. While I would agree that the five teachings you mention have a “high” air to them, they are really quite low. And numbers 2, 4, and 5 are just terms thrown together to sound impressive. There is no substance worthy of study, and surely nothing that would rise to the level of molehill.

They are truly the high peak of Lee’s bovine revelation. Unfortunately, there are too many cows still following that dead one who is being propped-up and carried through a barren pasture by the BBs. (Not intending to insult those who are following, but the ones who would continue to lead them through a mirage in a desert wasteland where the water they drink and the grass they eat is really sand.)

Ok manoel,
Thanks for registering and posting. Welcome to LocalChurchDiscussions.Com.

Please feel free to send a Private Message to me with corrections of the translation given below. I only did it with the help of bablefishyahoo and my very weak Spanish, which as you know, shares only a limited vocabulary with Portuguese.

Sorry! I'm Brazilian. I forgot to make the automatic translation of that type. I hope I will not forget me next time!
In Christ!

Edited Translation from Babelfishyahoo.com

Beloved, we have the spirit of discernment in the things of God. "for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God" (1Cor2:10b)

I believe there are many in this group that have loved to read the writings of Witness Lee. I really believe that Lee reached the peak of the divine revelation.

However we must remember that this takes us to a question, that is, how many of the practices was Lee able to practice throughout his life, relative to that which he saw? What percentage was it in relation to the revelation, before he left us?

In this case should we be “judging the vase”, given the importance of the subject here? This is a serious question about a man who was not the only a model for individual Christians, but also a ministry that was for the Body of Christ.

· God’s intention to dispense Himself into man
· The all-inclusive, compound Spirit of Life (cf:life-giving Spirit?)
· The processed triune God
· God becoming man so that man could become God, but not in life and nature
· The New Jerusalem as the final consummation and ultimate mingling of divinity with humanity

Portuguese, if anyone knows it.

Cross-posted at the other site.

Seems to be highly pro-Lee based on the rough Google translation.

A Pratica De Witness Lee
