Re: James Chu (NYC) -- With the Lord No, it was the Lord taking care of a church of over a thousand in an organic way, caring for a tender plant. He watches, waits, He prunes, He sees the response, He brings the flow, He gives the growth. |

Re: James Chu (NYC) -- With the Lord Wait for him to die? You forgot to address the fact he turned back, even giving a confirming word at the last conference in White Plains. This after decades of having a podium from which to speak out against Witmess Lee and WL's ministry, and he did so on occasion. He didn't use the recovery version or ministry materials, and no one else there was required to, yet his church was still considered a local church on the ground of the church. |

Re: James Chu (NYC) -- With the Lord The BBs waited for him to die, and now it appears they are consolidating their takeover. |

Re: James Chu (NYC) -- With the Lord Wait, how in the world was an opposer allowed to remain an elder of so large a church for decades? Where is all that control you keep talking about? |

Why wouldn't the other elders and local saints who knew him day-to-day for decades not speak instead? Does the church really need long-winded messages at funerals? |

Re: James Chu (NYC) -- With the Lord The memorial meeting (earlier today) is viewable here: https://livestream.com/Cnycjamaica/e...deos/165142630 James Chu was a long-time LC elder in New York City, along with Benjamin Chen and Ed Righton. He was notable as an "opposer" of Witness Lee and LSM after the late 1980s. He appeared to move more toward LSM leaders toward the end of his life. Speakers in the meeting include a number of LSM coworkers: Benson Phillips, Ed Marks, Rick Scatterday, Paul Wu, Ronnie Chan, Gerald Chan. |
