I know someone who paid checks to the full-timers that were part of Christians on Campus. He was clear that they were affiliated with the Local Churches because they (the churches) were paying them to be on campus. That always left a bit of a bad taste in that person's mouth. (understatement)

It's all about cunning and deceit. They want to "catch" you before you figure out that you've been had. The LC, in all its iterations, has a bad reputation.
I remember hearing Ray Graver say, as far back as Houston, when I first came in..."they don't realize there's a hook in that worm".
The "Local Church" can't stand on truth, honesty, integrity, much less the faith once given. The leadership resorts to "bait and switch" tactics. Sad commentary on Christian behavior.

Funny, this is for a group who predicates their existence on "no names but Jesus". Everyone else has taken a name, and is wrong, but since we (LSM) have taken no name, and are right, we can pick name after name to present ourselves to the world. Why? Because we are right, of course.
