Re: Prayer Request Quote:
I have been out of the LC for about 45 yrs and I sure can relate to everything you wrote. In looking back, I can recall the facade most of us put on to appear spiritually “mature”. While I have so much to be thankful for and everyday I thank our Lord for so many things, from my abundantl blessings to thanking God the Holy Spirit for revealing Jesus to me and for revealing God the Father to me. I thank Him for my friends and For leading me in and leading me out of the LC. I thank Him for His Goodness and His Mercy that follows me all the days of my life. But the one thing I have not thanked Him for is my spirit! I know we fellowshipped about our spirit. I do remember many saints thanking the Lord for their spirit. I don’t think I ever did though! Why are we supposed to thank God for our spirit? Does it say in the Bible we are supposed to?? (Ironically most people in the LC do not follow “their spirit” They parrot Brother Lee’s teachings.) What I do know is the Bible tells us to Walk in Spirit as well as to Worship in Spirit and in Truth. I also know we have a spirit, soul and body. I am so grateful to the Holy Spirit Who teaches us in all Truth. Jesus said: These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you. 27 As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him. 1 John 2:26-27 He also said: But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you Jesus also said: for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” Luke 12:12 Aren’t these such comforting scriptures??? We are also instructed to test the spirits. However if we don’t fellowship with God the Holy Spirit, our Helper, Comforter, Teacher and give Him credit for leading us correctly, how can we know our spirit? How can we test the spirits? “Dearest Jesus We thank You for being our Savior and Healer of our souls. Father God. Thank You for sending Your Precious Beloved Son our Lord and King, Jesus the Messiah and we Thank You for Your Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation, our Teacher, our Comforter and our Counselor., to live inside us Holy Spirit. You are the Spirit of God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ residing in our spirit overflowing into our souls, that are minds may be renewed and our souls, mind, emotions and will be transformed by the Power of Your Word living and operating in us We lift up to You Father of Love and Father of Mercy all the saints struggling to be free from the stronghold the LC has on them. Lord Jesus. You came to set the captives free. We petition You to set Your Loved ones free from Lee’s teachings through the Power of Your Holy Spirit working in us. You shed Your Precious Blood on the cross and resurrected so that we would be resurrected with You Precious Lord . Dearest Jesus You came that we would have life and have it more abundantly. It is YOU Who began a most excellent work in us all and it is YOU Who are going to complete until You come for us. You will never leave us or forsake us. Your Promise is You will supply our every need. Furthermore You also promise that if we delight in YOU LORD ALMIGHTY GOD, You will grant us the desires of our heart (psalm 37:4). And YOU are a Promise Keeper. Please heal our wounds and restore our souls to the Glory and Praise of Your Holy Name. We thank You Father of Glory and Love for receiving our petitions and supplications THROUGH our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen PS please shower Jsz and all Who have put their trust in You with Blessings after Blessings filling them with the Peace of God which surpasses all understanding and permeate their souls with the HOPE of GLORY. THANK YOU LORD. Amen” |

Re: Prayer Request Quote:
It’s important that we continue praying for ourselves, as well as for our loved ones who are still trapped and enslaved in the system. I think it would be wonderful to have a regular online prayer group where we can support and encourage one another. |

Prayer Request Hi, I'm Jsz and without disclosing too much about myself or others I want to give my brief experience and a prayer request. The LC was my home but also the place that I struggled with. I remember growing up there was always the silent demand to appear 'saint-like' and never feeling like I could actually be myself. On the one hand the saints felt like family yet on the other hand I felt like I was surrounded by strangers. Generally you'd associate being in a home to be the place where you would relax or having a meal with someone to be enjoyable and to catch up. But often it felt like a duty or better yet an 'appointment'. It never felt like I was hanging out rather it felt like this constant pressure brought in by saints coaxing me to join the meetings or go to the conferences. If it wasn't for all the unspoken rules I genuinely believe I would've found it more enjoyable but instead I felt like I had to put up a facade amongst people that felt like my family. I was so tired of being boxed-in. I was so tired of figuring out who actually cared for me or was sent to 'shepherd'/check up on me.I was so tired of proclaiming 'Thank you Lord for my spirit' even though inwardly I felt spiritually drained from doing so. I was so tired of the older ones hawking around me and the other saints my age trying to push us to be more like them and 'enjoy the Lord' while parroting a bunch of spiritual quotes. The list could go on... Saints, I have some prayer requests because I can't do this on my own and I need the prayers of the Body. To this day, my heart goes out to the saints trapped in the LC. - I pray for the all saints to come to God instead of trying to please the demands of this man-made system. - I pray for the veil to be lifted. May their eyes see the lies and deception that's developed in this system. - I pray for God's love to be poured into all the hearts of the saints because love truly is the most excellent way. - Personally I need prayer for my going on and I pray for all those still struggling to adjust to life beyond the LCs. Thank you saints, Jsz Holmes |
