Someone who comes here on the forum to criticize a b-day blessing ought to be careful with his/her own words. Jesus seems to be upset the most with hypocrites.

Many times I’ll just stop a conversation and ask people, “do you know what you just said?” They will say, “what do you mean?” I then kindly ask them why they would curse the name of a man who died 2,000 years ago. They are just so clueless.

Recently a pastor got a little offended with me. He used the expression, “holy cow!” So I asked him if he was Hindu. I don’t think I’m just nit-picking here. Numerous scripture mentions we will be judged for our words, especially those of a pastor. Words matter. We should watch our words.
I am not sure if I mentioned this already somewhere but two or three months ago some saints from LR visited my home ( I am still open).
They were more focused on their practices than on fellowshipping.
However, I was shocked and disgusted when while taking photo for keepsake all they used name of my Savior instead of " cheese...".
How they can sing later about precious name if it was used as "cheese..." for photo?
Precious means: He saved me from hell. He gave me new live. I am so thankfull!
It shows me only how shallow their high peak revelation teaching is.

So ... here goes ... two days ago I went to my neighbor's Birthday gathering. The singing was terrible, but I did get to speak about the Lord and encourage some friends to read the Bible.

Whew, I feel so much better now.

Be careful about that "Golly Gee" blasphemy. Have you not read the 3rd commandment about taking the Lord's name in vain? Friend, you have now been warned!
Glad you’re better Ohio. I hope you were able to decompress today and recover from all those “kind” words from the “Recovery”.

BTW I think we can use a further explanation about the real meaning of “golly gee” and taking God’s name in vain.

Thanks

Thank you for the reminder of exactly why I am grateful for leaving a system of error that, after more than 40 years, results in a sour spirit shared in cowardly anonymity.
