Would that I could. My husband is yet an unbeliever and so many times when I want nothing else but to never set eyes on him again, I tell the Lord the only reason I will stay is to obey Him. He blesses me abundantly, brother. May He change her heart and mind with one touch of His word!

It is interesting that Watterson named the main characters after a theologian and a philosopher! I had no idea back then, but now it makes sense considering the wit that he used in the comic strip. It doesn't seem like Watterson was a believer, but was wrestling with the big issues nonetheless.

Calvin is the kid. Hobbes is the cat (tiger). Hobbes is actually really a stuffed tiger who Calvin imagines is alive. So Hobbes is actually part of Calvin's personality. Calvin is the impulsive, emotional one; Hobbes is the more mature, thoughtful one. It was the best comic ever. Here's one of my favorites:

As much as I understand Watterson's stand against commercialism, the one thing I wish would be allowed is a stuffed animal of Hobbes. Oh the conversations I would have with Hobbes!!

The artist went out at the top of his game. In looking at Wiki I just saw he named Calvin after John Calvin: "In The Complete Calvin and Hobbes, Watterson stated that Calvin was named for "a 16th-century theologian who believed in predestination," and Hobbes for "a 17th-century philosopher with a dim view of human nature." Velly intresting . . .

Hi guys!
Some of you have probably already suspected that Cal, the speaker on the MyOpinionsFree videos, is me, Igzy.
I wanted to start out the YouTube channel somewhat anonymously. But I figured I might as well fess up. Sooner or later I was going to mess up and post something with the wrong login anyway.
I've been tired of the name "Igzy" for a while. It just began to sound stupid to me. So I'm Cal now.
Just letting y'all know. Same guy. Different name. Carry on!
