Yes church kids can say no, and choose not to go to meetings, and choose to go to another church group, and choose their social activities with their own motives. And they will end up in the place because of their choosing. No one I know in the local churches makes the young people love the Lord. The church kids have to experience the Lord for themselves and love the Lord for themselves. Or they will end up lost in the cosmos(worldly system).

Maybe, but it would be up to the kids to confide in their parents. Each LC parent is different.
If a parent loves their children enough to be their advocate, they will listen to their side of the story and go to bat for them.
Some parents may succumb to peer pressure and submit to the serving one, deacon, elder, or other LC parent.
I would not want any churchkid to suffer in silence as I did. Go to your parent and tell them what the adults are doing that is affecting you.

Re: Can Local Church Kids Say No?

There is much much more to touch on this topic, but I wanted to share one particular experience of mine from my teenage years.

Usually when a Young People's meeting ends, you expect to be transported back to your home, right?
On this particular evening I was with some Jr high and high school boys along with a serving brother. He was going to have us detail his car. This particular brother kept a very dirty car. I said no. Maybe a minute or two passed, and my no was not being accepted or respected. Seeing this was not going anywhere, I gave in.
I tried to say no and did not get anywhere with it. In retrospect, what would have happened if I stood my ground?

I believe that too. For some strange reason having boundaries was or still is not encouraged for church kids. To be empowered to self-advocate, church kids will be accused of being rebellious for saying no.

Can Local Church Kids Say No?

This is a loaded question, but do LC kids have the right to say no to their serving ones, deacons, and elders?
