Hi
I am from Europe and I hope you understand my English. I will try my best.
A few years (10) ago I came across this forum and read about a book The Golden Thread.
It came in my hands and I've read it and it has been helpful.
I still know some nice brothers and sisters in the LC but I am glad my wife and I are not part of it anymore.
If someone here know miss Anderson, please let her know we are doing allright.
Greetings

Hopeful,
Welcome to the forum. Your English is excellent!
If you would like, you can send Ms. Anderson a Private Message through this forum to her moniker “Thankful Jane”. The link is in the upper right corner of this webpage.
We are all happy to hear you are doing well.

I wish I could buy a paperback for that.

Kevin,
At one time the book was available for download at no cost (pdf). You might contact Thankful Jane in PM’s and find out if that is still available or check her website thethreadofgold.com.

In the years I met nice bro’s and sis in the LC. But I am glad My wife and I can now go on further.. together!
The song “ Farther Along “ from Josh Garrels has been good for me.

Me too. I’m happy you did not lose faith in the hard times and that you and your wife are going on together.

Hi Hopeful!
Can you say why you are no longer in the LC? Are you fellowshipping with other non-LC Christians?

Because it is to narrow for me. The Lc has brought a split in my marriage for more than 10 years. Thankfully we now can go further together because my wife has experienced the not so holy part of the LC...
the book “thread of gold” describes it as we have experienced it.
But we still know some precious bro and sisters overthere..

Thanks! Yes, there are some precious saints in the recovery. When we left we went cold turkey because we didn't want to stumble anyone and we didn't want to be the focus of being rescued, recovered, or saved back into what is falsely called God's ordained way. It was a lonely time until we made our way back into the normal church life of a real local community church. What precipitated my local church demise was when an elder and two other senior brothers tried to convince me to write a letter to RK concerning the sin of two other elders. The other senior brothers had already sent letters to RK. The elder would not write a letter, but wanted me to write a letter. They told me that RK would not listen unless three brothers wrote. I drafted a letter to RK and showed it to my brother-in-law who was an elder in another state, but I never sent it. When I found out that WL was corrupt along with his sons, and how the blended brothers treated Jane I realized that the local church was not a healthy place for my family. I could no longer trust anything published by LSM or any direction from the elders. So we extracted ourselves. I essentially "fired" the elders and told them to not contact me or members of my family, take our names off the phone list, and remove our testimonies and photos from any internet sites.
