In the book: American Kingpin: The Epic Hunt for the Criminal Mastermind Behind the Silk Road

They give an account of the girlfriend of Ross Ulbricbht being saved by being baptized in the bathtub in someone’s house. It sounds a lot like the local church, but then in chapter 59 it describes her taking Ross Ulbricbht* to a meeting of “The Local Church in San Francisco” and describes a church meeting complete with everyone giving testimonies about the tree of life and the tree of death, and lots of “O Lord Jesus” and “Praise the Lord”.

*Ross William Ulbricht (born March 27, 1984) is a convicted American drug trafficker and darknet market operator, best known for creating and running the Silk Road website from 2011 until his arrest in 2013. He was known under the pseudonym "Dread Pirate Roberts".
Ulbricht was convicted of money laundering, computer hacking, conspiracy to traffic fraudulent identity documents, and conspiracy to traffic narcotics in February 2015. He is currently serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole.

Great find bro ZNP. Do you have it as an ebook? Can you cut and paste?

It is on an ebook, but the girlfriend apparently was saved in the church in Austin.

One thing missing from this thread is relevance - what's the point? other than "someone's girlfriend got baptized in a bathtub".

Forget not to show love unto strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Heb 13:2

This thread is under the glorious church life. There were many saints in that meeting speaking concerning the tree of life, the tree of death, and the Serpent deceiving Eve. According to the book each one was given 2 minutes to speak. DPR's girlfriend felt this speaking was the Lord speaking directly to DPR.

I think it is nice to think that when we are speaking in a meeting who might actually be there listening, what the story is that we don't see.

Were those giving testimonies speaking as the oracles of God?

He is not dead, he is going to spend his life in prison, so who knows if he will repent and receive the Lord. But our responsibility is to speak the gospel. Whether or not he receives it, that is up to him.

This guy operated a dark web site and for that he got the same sentence as a psychopathic serial murderer -- life in prison without the possibility of parole.

UntoHim this thread should prolly be moved to AltViews.
