Harold Camping — Like Lee and the LRC?

Not exactly on topic for this grouping, but seemed to fit here best.

I was reading a blog concerning the Harold Camping "Return of Christ" prediction — or missed prediction — and where this one went reminded me of Lee and the LRC with respect to their whole system, especially the constant life-support that the BBs seem to be giving the organization.

Well, this writer was sympathetic to a fault. As one commenter said, Camping was a con artist. He was a true believer, like Lee, but all his earnestness couldn't lift him above being a con artist as well. Funny how that works.
