The Father was revealed, declared, defined, expressed and explained to us through the Son, Jesus Christ – "No one has ever seen God; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him." (John 1:18 RV) Jesus Christ revealed, declared and explained the Father in His Person and by His work. Christ’s very Person revealed, declared, defined and expressed the very Person and attributes of God the Father, and His work verified and confirmed that He was sent by the Father “for the works which the Father has given Me to accomplish--the very works that I do--testify about Me, that the Father has sent Me.” (John 5:36) Of course the ultimate culmination of His work was His sacrificial death upon the cross (“It is finished”) The ultimate culmination of His declaring, defining and expressing the Father was His glorification in resurrection and ascension to the Father. “I came forth from the Father and have come into the world; I am leaving the world again and going to the Father” (John 16:28) Even the disciples, who had been with the Lord Jesus for several years, did not seem to comprehend this monumental declaration. Praise God. Now we have a much clearer view. The Son of God came into the world as a little baby, born of a virgin girl. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.

What kind of God is this,
who from dust his image made
When the enemy came to steal
yet in flesh his image save What kind of God is this,
when creation proved so weak
Still called the fallen back to Him
when Redemption came to seek
What kind of God is this,
whose hand stretches forth the sky
Yet chose to sacrifice His Son,
leaving angels to wonder why
What kind of Name is this,
bestowed upon just a child
Could this be the Mighty God
through whom sinners reconciled What kind of Name is this,
which Mary and Joseph gave
No other Name under heaven
whereby all men must be saved
What kind of Name is this
man of sorrows, grief and pain
Despised, forsaken, afflicted
so willing to bare our shame
What kind of Man is this
whose voice calms the raging sea
Whose hand is so quick to heal
and from sin the captives freed What kind of Man is this,
who loves in deed and not just word
Though Master of heaven and earth
came to serve and not be served
What kind of life He lived
to seek and save which was so lost
Humble, obedient unto death,
yes, even the death of a cross
What kind of King is this,
who love and mercy has shown
Who chooses to rule in our hearts,
not just from his lofty throne What kind of Lord is this
in whose weakness we are strong
In whose foolishness we are wise,
in whose sadness is our song
What kind of praise shall we
give to Him the Worthy Lamb
The image returned to glory,
glory back to the Great I AM

(if you made it to the end of this you just received extra points)
